Caring for your luxury Via Candle is quite easy. We have included a few important tips below:
-
Your Via Candle is made from natural soy wax. In addition to the numerous health benefits of soy wax, in the event of a spill, soy wax is very easy to clean. Unlike paraffin wax, soy wax does not require scraping or chemicals. Soy wax can be removed with a damp cloth and gentle rubbing.
-
After burning your Via candle, and before next use, be sure to trim your wick to 1/4" length. Too long of a wick causes improper burning and will cause the wick to curl over into the melted wax.
-
For optimal performance of your Via Candle be sure to burn the candle for the recommended minimum duration on each use. For the 2 ounce travel tin, burn the candle for a minimum of 30 minutes. For the glass jar candle, burn the candle for at least two hours. This is to make certain that the wax pool is clearly across the container. Unless you melt the wax all the way across the container, you will begin to create a tunneling effect with the candle around the wick. This is caused by extinguising the candle too quickly too many times.
-
Never leave your burning candle unattended.
-
Never burn your candle to the bottom of any container.
-
When burning your candle, keep it out of range of any air movement such as air conditioning vents, open windows, or rooms with large drafts.
-
Via Candles are earth friendly. We strongly recommend the recycling of the containers or finding alternate use. Our glass tumblers make great drinking glasses when the candle is finished. Easily cleansed with soap and water this is an easy task.
